Burger #62 – Le Nordique (Relish)

It’s been fairly quiet here over at Life of Burgers, due largely in part to an extremely busy work schedule. Working 70 hour weeks for the last 9 months was great for the bank account, but it didn’t really allow much time to get my hands on some tasty burgs.

Luckily, the film season is slowing down now for the year in Nova Scotia, which means I’m ready to make up for some lost time and get down to some burger business!

To get me back on track, I swung by Relish and ordered up Le Nordique, and a Centurion poutine to accompany it!

Burger #40 – Bacon Cheese Burger (The Wooden Monkey)

While the days might not be getting any cooler, Summer is slowly nearing its end. With the end of this season comes the end of the many awesome patios found in this city, so why not enjoy them while I still can! For my next patio visit, I made my way to 1707 Grafton Street where The Wooden Monkey is located. This was my first visit to this location (I visited the Dartmouth location during Burger Week) so I was eager to see what they had to offer in terms of burgers. I decided to go with their Bacon Cheese Burger.

Burger #11 – Thai Peanut Burger (The Foggy Goggle)

For the first time since starting my journey through burgers, I decided it was time to return to a place that I had been before and try one of their other burgers, for #11. I went back to The Foggy Goggle, located at 1667 Argyle Street, mostly because I had such a great experience the first time, and their kitchen is open late, which was perfect for this late-night meal. For this visit, I went with theirĀ Thai Peanut Burger.

Stats

From the menu: “Our Big Arse Patty with peanut sauce, caramelized onions, bacon, mustard, mayo, and shredded carrots.”

Burger #7 – Goggle Burger (The Foggy Goggle)

It was a big day for me, it being my graduation from university, so obviously I was going to celebrate with burger #7. For the celebration, I went to The Foggy Goggle, which is located at 1667 Argyle Street. This was my first time at this place, but I had high hopes as Argyle Street tends to be full of creative and delicious meals. For this burger, I went with the Goggle Burger.

Stats

From the menu: “A Big Arse Burger topped with caramelized onions, bacon, aged smoked cheddar, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and mustard.”
