We are now a mere 4 days away from one of my favourite events of the year! Come this Friday, Halifax Burger Week will be in full swing, and restaurants will be packed with burger-lovers wanting to sink their teeth into the many great creations that this city has come up with.

So with the week being within reach, I’m back with Part 3 of the Burger Week Preview Series, and this time I’m giving you 4 burgers to feast your eyes on. Take a look at what The Fireside, Gahan House, The Foggy Goggle, and Relish will be cooking up for you this year!

Burger #36 – The Donicken (Foggy Goggle)

Be sure to head over to The Coast website and vote Life of Burgers for Best Food Blogger for the Best of Halifax Awards! Voting closes July 31st!

One thing that I try to be weary of when trying new burgers, are ones that are trying to be too ambitious. This could mean way too many toppings, an unusual combination of ingredients, or just the sheer size of the burger itself. That being said, I want to give a fair shot to each burger, kind of a “don’t knock it til you try it” way of thinking. The Donicken from Foggy Goggle initially had me worried that it may fall into this category, but being a lover of meat, I figured that I had to at least give it a try (and I’m glad I did).

Burger #11 – Thai Peanut Burger (The Foggy Goggle)

For the first time since starting my journey through burgers, I decided it was time to return to a place that I had been before and try one of their other burgers, for #11. I went back to The Foggy Goggle, located at 1667 Argyle Street, mostly because I had such a great experience the first time, and their kitchen is open late, which was perfect for this late-night meal. For this visit, I went with theirĀ Thai Peanut Burger.

Burger #7 – Goggle Burger (The Foggy Goggle)

It was a big day for me, it being my graduation from university, so obviously I was going to celebrate with burger #7. For the celebration, I went to The Foggy Goggle, which is located at 1667 Argyle Street. This was my first time at this place, but I had high hopes as Argyle Street tends to be full of creative and delicious meals. For this burger, I went with the Goggle Burger.
